Ignite students' love of reading and the arts through this eight-week residency that connects the show experience wiht the ELA curriculum!

CLASSROOM LITERACY PLUS INCLUDES:

  • TICKETS TO ANY FIRST STAGE PERFORMANCE
    Plus, school groups receive one complimentary chaperone ticket for every 10 student tickets booked.
  • SEVEN CLASSROOM VISITS BY FIRST STAGE TEACHING ARTISTS
    First Stage Teaching Artists visit your classroom for seven consecutive weeks prior to your visit to the theater. These 45-minute sessions take place right in your classroom.
  • SPECIALLY DESIGNED ART AND MUSIC PROJECTS
    Receive first priority in displaying student artwork relating to First Stage productions in the lobby of the Todd Wehr Theater.
  • PRIORITY BOOKING
    Have the first opportunity to book shows, and select performances will be reserved especially for Literacy Plus Classrooms.
  • PREVIEW PERFORMANCE EVENTS
    Teachers are invited to attend select preview performances, with a special reception and discussion with the Education Department about connecting the show to the curriculum.
