Volunteer Opportunities

Usher at our performances

First Stage is currently seeking Volunteer Ushers for First Stage’s evening and weekend performances at the Marcus Center’s Todd Wehr Theater. Reporting to the House Manager, our Volunteer Ushers deliver quality customer service to the patrons and families seeing First Stage performances in a professional, energetic, and friendly manner.  Our Volunteer Ushers have the benefit of seeing First Stage performances free of charge!

Green Room Society (First Stage's Volunteer Organization)

The Green Room Society is a group of volunteers interested in contributing their time and talents to First Stage in a variety of ways.  Volunteers can include parents, family members, First Stage alumni, community members or anyone else who wishes to support First Stage.  Volunteer activities vary depending on the needs of the company and availability of the volunteer.  The Green Room Society meets monthly to learn about the ways to support Academy, Marketing, and Development staffs and much more!

The Green Room Society is led by Heather Crouse, a First Stage Theater Academy alum and proud Academy student parent.  To become involved in the Green Room Society, contact Heather at volunteer@firststage.org or (812) 201-4285.
