Our Facility

First Stage's administrative offices, production offices and Theater Academy are located at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, a collaboration between First Stage Children's Theater and the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra.  The Milwaukee Youth Arts Center is a contemporary, cutting-edge performing arts education and rehearsal facility for the young people of southeastern Wisconsin. The Milwaukee Youth Arts Center gives children the opportunity to express themselves through the arts in a fun, creative, multicultural environment in a setting that offers well-designed, educationally appropriate rehearsal halls, classrooms and other training spaces, as well as a theater resource center, music library and costume shop. The Milwaukee Youth Arts Center and the programs it houses are dedicated to fostering talent, developing character and building the audiences of tomorrow. 

This state-of-the-art facility provides First Stage with an inspirational training and rehearsal space, which makes more classes possible. Performances are still held in the Todd Wehr Theater at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Other Milwaukee youth arts organizations that offer extensive programming at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center include  Danceworks, Festival City Symphony, African American Children's Theatre and Milwaukee Children's Choir.
