Do you see yourself as a leader and a mentor? Do you want to put your office skills to the test? If you answered yes to either of these questions, the First Stage Theater Academy Internship program is for you!
Returning students entering 8th grade and up have the opportunity to apply for a School Year or Summer Intern position with the Academy. Internships during the school year are committed for 8 weeks of class time. Summer interns can be scheduled from one to eight weeks in length.
Keeping in mind that First Stage is a non-profit organization, we would greatly appreciate your time on a volunteer basis. However, you will earn $50 intern credit toward future classes for each semester worked during the School Year, or $50 intern credit for each week worked during the Summer. Below is a description of internship duties to review and consider. For more information and to apply, click here for School Year and here for Summer.

Interns serve as a role model, guide, mentor and teacher’s assistant. Once classes begin, teachers and students alike count on our interns and look forward to seeing them each week. All classes meet during our normal academy hours.
An intern may serve as an assistant in the Academy Office, answering the telephone, taking attendance, light customer service, filing paperwork, making copies, compiling data, delivering messages, etc. Office interns are indispensible and the staff relies on them to be in attendance.
We look forward to hearing from you and having you play a part in the success of First Stage Academy!
