Multi-Cultural Assembly Tour
February 12-March 7, 2008
A musical Based on the book The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson Adaptation and Lyrics by Karen Zacarias Music by Deborah Wicks La Puma
A classic tale of individuality, Ferdinand is the story of a bull who doesn’t want to fight and butt heads like all the other bulls: he just wants to take care of his beloved flowers. But when the belligerent Duque Dodo comes looking for the toughest bull in all of Spain to fight in Madrid, he mistakenly picks Ferdinand. This bilingual Flamenco-flavored musical showcases message of non-violence and uniqueness. Written over 60 years ago, Munro Leaf’s story is still popular all over the world and retold in more than sixty languages.
