Marketing/Public Relations Internship
First Stage Children's Theater continually seeks a public/media relations intern (unpaid) throughout the year. We are currently accepting applications for the summer and fall semester.

The position offers the opportunity to build a writing portfolio with press releases, by-lined articles for our quarterly newsletter, First Stage eNews, and articles for other local or national publications. The intern will be required to research the information needed for these articles and releases. In addition, the intern will be needed to help develop a national media list and organize our media clippings. Some clerical work and data entry will be required.

The intern will have the opportunity to work directly with the Marketing Director, Public Relations Manager and other First Stage staff, learning the various strategies needed in promoting a successful theater company.

The qualified candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills. This internship is best for the student working towards a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, arts administration or non-profit management. While supervision and direction is readily available, the intern will be expected to be a self-starter and able to work independently.
