|  | Job Opportunities Production Manager
First Stage Children’s Theater, an Equity TYA theater, seeks full-time, year-round production manager with additional interest in developing curriculum/teaching in Theater Academy design and tech program. Responsible for overall and day-to-day business of production departments including: costumes, props, scenery, stage management, lights and sound, touring, play development workshops, educational productions, and other production elements. Specific responsibilities include: creation and supervision of production budgets, technical and communication aspects that affect the product onstage, occasional design work as mutually agreed upon and representing the company in the community. The position is charged with fulfilling the Artistic Director's vision by maintaining ideals set forth in the original concept. Facilities include 500-seat thrust theater, 150 seat black box, off-site Scene/prop/paint shop, and 55,000 sq ft rehearsal/training/costume shop/office space. Minimum five years Production Management experience in regional theater required. Experience in scheduling performance spaces, budgeting, time management, and hiring/evaluating staff a must. Experience with production union agreements such as I.A.T.S.E. and Equity a plus. Position demands self-motivated, personable, team oriented manager. Begins August 1, 2008.
