First Stage Children's Theater has officially launched its holiday contest – I'm The Happy Elf Video Contest – giving you the chance to show off your performing skills and potentially win some great prizes.

Harry Connick, Jr.'s new holiday play, The Happy Elf, will debut at First Stage on November 28, and will run through Christmas Eve. In anticipation of this exciting event, we’re inviting kids of all ages to be the Happy Elf ... literally!

So what are the details?

It's simple, if you’re 18 and under, just make a video of yourself or you and up to three friends performing Harry Connick, Jr.'s hit holiday song The Happy Elf and upload it to our YouTube group at www.youtube.com/group/happyelf. The videos will be judged by a panel of local celebrity judges on vocal quality, originality and creativity of the performance and video.  For detailed instructions on contest participation, CLICK HERE

The overall grand prize winner will receive a weekend stay at the Chula Vista Resort the Wisconsin Dells, while other prizes include a First Stage Children’s Theater family season ticket package, The Happy Elf on DVD and Harry Connick, Jr.’s new holiday album, due out this fall.

Contest judges include local radio hosts 99.1 WMYX’s Jane and Kidd in the Morning, Milwaukee’s favorite comedian and star of several long-running Milwaukee plays, John McGivern, and the The Skylight’s Ray Jivoff.
