UPLOADING DIRECTIONS
YouTube and Video Uploading Directions
(If you are already a member of YouTube, skip to step #3. If you are not already a member of YouTube, you must complete steps 1 and 2).
- Visit www.youtube.com/group/happyelf and click the "sign up" link at the top of the page and complete the necessary information
- Once you are registered, you will need to confirm your account through the email address you provided to YouTube
- After you confirm your account, www.youtube.com/group/happyelf and click on the "Join This Group" link and sign in with the Username and Password you provided upon registration to YouTube
- Once you are in the "I'm the Happy Elf holiday video contest," click the "Add Videos" link
- Then click the "upload a video" link
- Fill out the following information
- Title
- Description
- Video category – Entertainment
- Tags – The Happy Elf
- Broadcast options – public
- Date and map options – optional to change
- Sharing options – Feel free to change, but the "ratings" category must be clicked to YES, to allow this video to be rated by viewers so your friends and family can vote for your video
- Click on the bottom "upload a video" link
Please note: Your video must meet YouTube technical requirements for uploading. It must be color. Recommended formats include WMV, AVI, MOV and MPG
- Click "browse" to find your video on your computer and select the video; click "Upload video" button
- Once your video upload is complete, go to the top of the page and click on your user name to open your profile
- Your video will become available to the public once it has been approved by First Stage Children's Theater administration
