Amplify - First Stage's BIPOC Short Play Series
First Stage is proud to continue Amplify - First Stage's BIPOC Short Play Series, developed and produced in Fall 2021. These short plays will be crafted by BIPOC playwrights that center on the young person’s point of view, amplifying the voices of these artists and young people throughout our community.
Each play is free to stream on our YouTube Channel, with limited in-person performances for select productions.
Enrollments are now open for our School Year Theater Academy classes, offering high-impact theater training for students ages 3-18, led by professional teaching artists.
Keeping you safe this season
Our #1 Priority
As the house and stage lights shine once again, we are implementing safety measures as we welcome you back for live performances. Look for the following features as you reserve your tickets and visit our theaters:
Socially-distanced seating: One seat will be blocked off on either side of parties as you reserve your seats online, by mail, by phone, or at the Box Office.
Masks are required to be worn properly while anywhere inside the performance venue. Many of our audience members, including those under age 12, are not currently eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine; this requirement is in the interest of safety for all audience members, actors, and theater staff.
Limited capacity: Our venues will remain at limited capacity for the safety of our actors, theater staff, and audiences. Additional seating will open as permitted, in accordance with health and safety officials.
Digital Playbills and Paperless Tickets will be issued to all patrons to reduce contact points between audiences and theater staff.
Hand-sanitizing stations will be available throughout our performance venues.
No intermission will be held for any of our performances, and concessions and merchandise will not be sold on site. This measure is to alleviate congestion throughout the lobby.
