Schools & Educators
First Stage serves as Wisconsin's leader in arts-in-education programming. We pride ourselves on offering high-quality lessons that enrich literacy skills and enhance learning across the entire curriculum.
Our dynamic Theater in Education programs promote active learning in our schools and community, facilitating over 1,500 workshops in the 2019/20 School Year. We work with children of all ages in classrooms and through community organizations each year, bringing arts to life in classrooms and supporting Common Core Curriculum. Our Education team has decades of experience with drama-based lessons in Literacy, Arts-Integration, Theatre, and much more.
School Partnership Package
Our primary package that allows classrooms to experience all First Stage has to offer, including one trip to the theater and several in-classroom workshops.
Supplementary materials for each show in our season, designed to help teachers address the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Standards as well as the National Standards for Theatre Education.
Our arts-integrated workshops use dramatic activities to teach lessons throughout the elementary and middle school curricula, directly linked to the Common Core State Standards, Wisconsin’s Model Academy Standards, 21st Century Learning Skills, and National Core Arts Standards in Theatre.
Take your classroom to see a fun, engaging, and top-notch show at the second biggest theater in Milwaukee!
