Daytime Stars and Strikes for Autism's newly established Jerry verDorn Scholarship
The Jerry verDorn Scholarship Fund will help First Stage to provide full need-based scholarship awards to six to ten young people on the autism spectrum — enabling them to attend First Stage’s Next Steps Program at no cost to their families. The exact number of Next Steps students served by this grant award fully depends on if they participate in school year programming, summer programming or both.
Scholarships will be distributed in August 2023 for students to attend First Stage’s school year Next Steps Program, running September 2023 to May 2024, at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center. Another round of scholarship distribution will take place before our Summer Next Steps Program, held in August 2024.
