First Stage offers age recommendations for each play that consider the production's performance style, length, and subject matter. Our plays are enjoyed by adults, teens, and children alike, but parents are always the best judge of a young person's ability to understand and appreciate a specific play.

Adults and Teens

This graphic indicates that a play is suitable for adults and teens ages 13-17.

Ages 3-4

This graphic indicates that a play is suitable for young people ages 3 to 4.

Ages 5-6

This graphic indicates that a play is suitable for young people ages 5 to 6.

Ages 7-9
